STEP goes to a college fair at City College

STEP students and parents recently attended City College's 3rd Annual College Fair.

They met with admissions representatives from colleges across New York State, like St. Joseph's College and Fordham University.

The students and parents also met with representatives from Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), who told them of the services and resources specially offered to CSTEP scholars.

*This one day event allowed students and parents to ask admissions representatives their questions about their schools and the admissions process.

*They also had the opportunity to sign up to receive more information about the schools they are interested in attending.

STEP goes to a Fordham Football Game!

October 6th: Fordham vs. Georgetown; one can definitely say that Fordham’s football team had great support from their classmates, teachers, friends, family, and of course the STEP staff, students and parents. Being part of the staff you can see the excitement each student had as we walked to the field. Everyone energized and relieved to be a part of one of Fordham University’s athletic events and finally out of morning classes. We got there and filled ourselves with free food and drinks as we laughed, shared stories, and watched the game. How rewarding it was to see, the first year students ecstatic to see the mascot Ram, who they hurried to take pictures with, and getting body paintings on their arms as the game got intense. Full of Fordham spirit we shared a victory at Fordham's football field.
